Today’s programme features a series of high-level meetings and milestone events highlighting ASEAN’s ongoing efforts to strengthen regional cooperation and partnership.

Today, the ASEAN Senior Officials’ Meeting took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in preparation for the upcoming 47th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits, as well as the ministerial meetings scheduled in the coming days.

On 23 October 2025, the ASEAN Joint Senior Officials’ and Senior Economic Officials’ (SOM-SEOM) Meeting met to prepare for the inaugural ASEAN Joint Foreign and Economic Ministers’ Meeting, scheduled for today, 25 October 2025.

ASEAN Leaders and formal partners will gather in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for the 47th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits.

The 10th Meeting of the ASEAN-OECD Good Regulatory Practices Network (GRPN), themed “From Policy to Impact: Ten Years of the ASEAN-OECD GRPN”, was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 15-16 October 2025.

The Committee of Permanent Representatives to ASEAN (CPR) convened today at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre for its tenth regular meeting of the year, marking the start of the 47th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits.

Fermented seafood pastes are a common tradition across the ASEAN region, including terasi in Indonesia, bagoong in the Philippines, prahok in Cambodia, and ngapi in Myanmar.

The 43rd ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting (AMEM) and Associated Meetings were successfully convened from 14-17 October 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, inaugurated by The Honourable Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia.

The 21st ASEAN Senior Labour Officials Meeting (21st SLOM), attended by senior officials from all ASEAN Member States and Timor-Leste as an observer, concluded on 22 October 2025 with renewed commitment to advance regional labour cooperation in post-2025 towards an inclusive, sustainable, and future-ready ASEAN Community.

Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, will welcome H.E. Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, President of the Federative Republic of Brazil, on the occasion of the President’s visit to the ASEAN Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat, on 24 October 2025.
